Technique:
I microwaved a DVD, then broke it with my hands, angled it so the reflections generated a lot of color, and took a picture!

Cropped and edited in Aperture, with a few minor sharpening and contrast adjustments.

This is beautiful! I had microwaved CDs before just for the light show (in my youth)... but i never realized how beautiful the surface looks!

loved them all, color is always a pleaser, the random patterns & graceful beauty that result from the destruction is very poetic. this one in particular seems to be loaded with emotion.

Yeah - I find that destruction usually results in very appealing patterns and colors... not just in DVDs, but things like rust, mold, etc.
